Do I have to be a trade customer to order from you?
Yes, we are a business to business wholesaler only. If you are a retailer or trading partner you need to register with Baker & Taylor Access to open an account with us.
What is Access?
Access is our online customer portal designed to give our trading partners an additional resource tool.
How do I register, what is the process?
Go to our home page and click on the 'Join Baker & Taylor Access' banner and then follow the simple registration process.
How long will it take to open my Access account and when will I be able to see product and place orders?
Your registration will be reviewed immediately. We will advise you that your registration has been accepted that working day and your account will be enabled within 24 hours.
Are my registration details safe?
Yes – all customer data will be protected and your details will be not be shared with third parties.
Is there a minimum order?
There is no minimum order, any order of £75 and below is subject to a carriage charge.
At what price should I sell the products I buy from you?
Books generally have a publishers recommended retail price (RRP) printed on them. Some books we would recommend to be sold at a lower than publisher RRP. As a guide each of our products show a Baker & Taylor suggested retail price (B&T RSP). Where there is a suggested Baker & Taylor RRP, the books will be dispatched unstickered.
Does Stationery have a Recommended Retail Price (RRP)?
The majority of our Stationery is dispatched un stickered allowing you the customer to set your own Recommended Retail Selling price.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes where applicable.
What are Promotions?
These are monthly special offers which are only visible to registered customers.
How do I view/order your Promotions?
You must be a registered customer. You will then have access to each promoton. Complete the promotional enquiry box at the bottom of the page and the next working day our Customer Services Team will confirm ETA and order reference.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on UK orders over £75. Otherwise our carriage charge is £3.40 + vat. If you are outside Europe please click ‘Ask for a carriage quote’ when you have completed your product selection in the Ask Advice Box in Your Basket.
What is the ‘advice’ button on my basket details for?
If you have never shopped with us before or are a returning customer, we recognise book ranges can be complex and we offer you guidance on best selling lines and quantities to order. Click the relevant advice button and a member of our Customer Service Team will reply via your email address.
When can I expect my delivery to arrive?
You order will be despatched within 48 hours.
What methods of payment do you accept and are these methods secure?
We accept VISA, MAESTRO, MASTERCARD or SAGE. All methods are secure.
How will my order be dispatched?
Orders are shipped via our carriers in Baker & Taylor branded boxes.
How do I know that you’ve received my order and are processing it?
You will receive an email confirming receipt of your order.
What do I do if I have forgotten my login details?
Go to the Login page and click on the link ‘Can’t find your WAN’ – you will be prompted to enter your email address then click on Request WAN and your WAN will be sent to your registered email address.
If you have forgotten your password go to the Login page and click on the link ‘Forgotten your password’ – you will then be prompted to enter your Web Account Number (WAN) then click on Request Password and your password will be sent to your registered email address.

Can I become a credit customer?
Yes – once you have placed a few orders then we will be able to review your level of credit.
Will my order arrive in one delivery?
Yes, we do not cater to for 'Back Orders'.
What should I do if i receive damaged goods?
If you discover the Goods are damaged you must notify us within 7 days of delivery. If we agree that the Goods are damaged we will refund against the invoice.
